Sadly spooky season has come and gone and I'm just now publishing this 😅 Between coming back to practices, some DTC projects preparing to launch, and this election I've been slacking on the writing. With Halloween being my favorite holiday though and therefore making October my favorite time of the year I couldn't skip out on sharing some of my favorites from this past month. Spoiler there are more food items here than usual
Lush
I went shopping for the first time down in Georgetown since February. It was a little more crowded than I would have liked, but it was so nice to hang out with some friends and make some unnecessary purchases. One of which was a trip to Lush (shopping online is just not the same) I splurged on the new Winter Garden bath bomb and rekindled my love with two old favorites; Big Blue bath bomb and the Hottie massage bar
Kitsch Scrunchies
Who doesn't love a good scrunchie? In middle school my signature race look was a white scrunchy that needless to say was probably absolutely disgusting by the end of seventh grade when I retired it. Lately, I've been loving this tie-dye set from Kitsch.

Tinatbh
Every once in awhile Instagram's algorithm feeds me things I actually love. If you know me you know I love Bob's Burgers so when Tinatbh showed up on my feed I quickly became a fan of their cross over merch and art.

The shop opens periodically with new drops featuring enamel pins, stickers, and shirts.
Roasted + Caramelized
Caramelized Cabbage; Sounds kind of weird. Tastes really good. This was a great find via Bon Appetite and a recipe I'll be making a lot of as the temperatures keep dropping.

I first saw the idea for carrot fries via Jazmine Blocker's Instagram. I've never been one to turn down a roasted veggie and love a good french fry so I figured why not try it out. I ended up trying out this carrot fries recipe. While they didn't really come out to the fry like consistency I was imagining I did learn that paprika and parsley on carrots is a great combination and something that I'll be making more of this coming month.
Brown Sugar Boba Tea
This might be a typical fall treat, but let's face it boba tea has been on my mind all quarantine. So much so to the point that I learned how to make it myself (pretty well actually). However the one thing I can't really create in the same capacity at home are the flavors and one flavor, in particular, had my cravings kicking it; brown sugar. I had it for the first time last year in New York and since then I'd been on a search for a local place carrying it. This past month a new tea place opened up down the street from me and what do you know? They HAD IT. Worth the trip to get it if you can.
Hyper ice massage ball
Things are tight and sore and knots are everywhere after my first sessions back with 150's. The foam roller by its self just wasn't doing it so I've pulled out an old friend to help break everything up. I use this one and am obsessed with it.
